![]() ![]() MusicLab: as I helpfully suggested to you in emails more than once: the limitation on the sound of these VIs relates to the number of samples available for velocity and round robin layering - NOT an inability to play the VI on a goddamn Guitar Hero USB controller, for f#&k's sake. Instead, during this time competitors (whom I won't name here) have completely outstripped these products for realism. By now, RealGuitar should have weighed in at 2GB of samples and its results been much, much closer to indistinguishable from a real guitar. But they have wasted all that time since just dickering around the edges, making tiny improvements. MusicLab had, what, roughly a seven YEAR lead on everybody else making this type of VI? They were the first to get the user interface and playing mechanics right. It's insane: there is simply no way - at all - that an instrument whose sample set is only a couple hundred MB at most can compete with products with over a GB of samples including many more velocity and round robin layers as well as articulations. At this point I literally cannot believe they haven't once taken a couple of microphones, gone back into the studio, and enlarged and improved the SAMPLE POOLS for any of these products since they were originally released.
